With owners whose hobbies involve taking long walks in the park and spending hours painting scenic landscape, it seems only fitting that the family’s home is imagined as part of a garden.

Covered with soft vertical green, the front façade adopts a porous look via layers of timber trellis and clear glass corners, maximizing views and entry of natural light within. At the core of the house, a triple-volume air well brings in continuous breeze and sunlight through the central spaces. Completing the experience, a ground level outdoor verandah and an open-sky roof terrace provide the family with alternative gathering spaces. Decked out in wood tones and shades of cream, the simple palette of the interiors radiates a relaxed ambience of a modern tropical lodge.

For this family, the joy of coming home is found in the simple immersion of nature.
